As disciples of Christ, one of our greatest strength needs to be our relationship with God. David in the Bible was a man after God's own heart. How many of us wanted to be the man after God's own heart? We will look into Psalm 145 and learn few convictions from David.
Psalm 145:2
Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.
The title of this message is "Every Day I will praise You". Is this true in our lives? Do we praise God every day?
In order to praise somebody, you must really know him well and the things that he does to you.
1. Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise
Psalm 145:3-7
3 Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
4 One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.
5 They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
6 They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds.
7 They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
(Psa 145:3 Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
How do we look God, great or small? The following can make it clear whether God is great in our lives;
a. (Psa 145:4) We will commend Gods works to another. We will tell of His mighty acts
b. (Psa 145:5) We will speak of the glorious splendor of His majesty, and we will meditate on His wonderful works
c. (Psa 145:6) We will tell of the power of His awesome works, and We will proclaim His great deeds
d. (Psa 145:7) We will celebrate His abundant goodness and joyfully sing of His righteousness.
Many times we can catch ourselves talking good about us. Will people around you see you talking the greatness of God?
2. The Lord is gracious and compassionate
Psalm 145:8-12
8 The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
9 The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
10 All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you.
11 They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,
12 so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
(Psa 145:8) The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
If we believe the Lord is gracious and compassionate, we will show compassion to others. We will show Gods grace to others. We will be slow to get angry. People will see us rich in love. Today what are we known for?
(Psa 145:9) The Lord is good to all.
Are we being good to all, our wife, husband, children, friends, disciples, leaders. Whatever situation we are in today, the Lord is good, gracious and compassionate, so let us seek the Lord and find strength in Him.
Every creation praise God may be because of this. They understand how much God is gracious and compassionate. This also motivates them to speak about God to others so that others also can experience God's power, God's love.
3. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom
Psalm 145:13
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.
If we believe that His kingdom is everlasting kingdom, we will seek His kingdom and his righteousness first.
Matthew 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
What are we focused on today? How are we spending our times today? How much are we spending time to seek His kingdom?
Do we feel privileged that God has called us into His everlasting kingdom? Are we doing our best to build His kingdom or are we just spectators?
4. The LORD is faithful to all his promises
Psalm 145:13-16
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.
14 The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.
16 You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
(Psa 145:13) The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.
The Lord will keep His promise. He will be with us always, to the end of the age.
Today do we have doubts about His promises?
(Psa 145:14 ) The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
(Psa 145:15) The Lord will give us food at the proper time when we look to Him.
(Psa 145:16) The Lord will open His hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
5. The Lord is righteous
Psalm 145:17-19
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made.
18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
(Psa 145:17) The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made.
Whatever we see around, God is in control. He is righteous. Our eyes may look differently but God will always have an answer for everything.
Hebrews 6:10
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

(Psa 145:19) He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
When we fear God, God fulfills our desires, hears our cry and saves us. (Isa 59:1 Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.
Isaiah 59:1
Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.
