We have made new decisions and new goals with new visions every year when it starts. However, the question is this: is it just another New Year goal you have made, to be forgotten and to be broken? Or are you serious about it? Have you ever checked whether you have fulfilled your last year's goals? If not, it is time to change.
Judges 6:14
The LORD turned to him and said, "Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?"
When Gideon thought that the Lord had abandoned them and put them into the hand of Midian, the Lord encouraged him and asked him to go in the strength he had and save Israel out of Midian's hand.
God has given us strength, which is a gift from Him, and we are supposed to use it to save people from the clutches of Satan. As disciples, it is our duty to make disciples and to teach them to obey everything He has commanded us. We are not alone. God is always with us. His promises are there to depend on.
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
So let us not fear ordinances from people; but fear the Lord and his words.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
Let us remind ourselves, how the first century Christians loved God. Remember their zeal, bravery and self-denial. So, let us decide, no matter whatever happens, that we will be true disciples of Jesus. If God is for us, who can be against us?
Another thing we have to remind ourselves is that all of us are our brothers' keepers. Jesus loved his disciples, taught them, lived with them, prayed for them and finally laid down his life for them.
We too should love our disciples, spend time with them and teach them from the scriptures so that they would be faithful disciples in the Kingdom of God.
