Every disciple is commanded to teach others.
Matthew 28:19
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
But to teach others, we need to learn what and how to teach. For that we need to have a teachable and a humble heart. How can we learn? If we ourselves don’t learn and change, how can we teach others?
1. Learn from God and his Word
Psalm 25:12
Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him.
Psalm 71:17
Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
Isaiah 28:26
His God instructs him and teaches him the right way.
What do you learn from these scriptures? God himself will teach us and instruct us if we have a heart that fears him. How do you know if you fear him or not? If you fear him you’ll do everything for him.
His word will not allow you to fall into the same sin again and again. You’ll respond to his words. We should pray for wisdom.
James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
It was God who gave wisdom to Solomon.
1 Kings 4:29
God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.
Who is wise?
He who wins souls
Proverbs 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.
But it is not an easy job.
How can you become wise?
Psalm 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.
When you fear God, not men.

Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says'--when the LORD has not spoken.
If you are not teaching from his word, then you can mislead them.
Be in his word deeply. Write down what you’ve learned from your Bible Study everyday.
2. Learn from your teachers.
We should take every opportunity to learn from our teachers. Take a lot of advice. Ask a lot of questions. Have a teachable heart like
(a) Disciples
Luke 11:1
One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples."
(b) The Ethiopian Eunuch
Acts 8:31
"How can I," he said, "unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
Your discipler may be very busy. Initiate to be with them. Watch how they teach others.
Be open about your weaknesses so that you’ll learn to overcome them and change. Don’t be afraid of challenges.
Learn from others: How do you feel when someone you disciple challenges you? Actually, we can learn even from non-disciples. This takes humility. This week ask your disciples what you need to change in.

Lets have hearts that are humble and eager to learn so we can better teach others.
