What is love? God is love.
With love God gave His one and only son. Love is sacrificial. Jesus sacrificed his life for us willingly because he loved us. Also love is protective. God protects us always from the dangers of our life and also from satan.
Three points we need to leart about real love.
1. Faithfulness
Proverbs 3:3
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
Grateful to God for saving our life. Grateful to leaders. Grateful to our disciplers.
Faithfulness is more than just coming to church. It's doing what God wants you to do because you believe in God and that God is in control.
Evangelising, follow-up, learning your bible, prayer, being happy in the face of persecution.
2. Righteousness
Proverbs 21:21
He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.
What is righteousness? To do what is right. Need to be right with God. Righteousness about our feelings and about our sins.
If we really love God and leaders our relationship will be close. Keeping our appointments. Keeping our word. Respecting others before ourselves. Think before we speak or act (is it uplifting). Whatever is needed in your house church.
3. Discipline
Proverbs 3:12
because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.
God disciplines those he loves. It is hard to be disciplined but we need to love discipline. Discipline in our minds. Disciplined with our bodies. Disciplined with self-control.
Do not be afraid about saying what is true especially about chaallenging one another. That's how we will be able to help people to grow.
Hebrews 3:12
See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
Conclusion
The greatest think in the world is love. We need to be like Jesus. Jesus is perfect example for us to follow. He was outstanding. He was obedient. He was righteous and faithful to God.
