Proverbs 12:7
When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone, but the righteous stand firm forever.

Wicked men are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous stands firm. Having no root in righteousness, the wicked cannot and will not stand. They will one day be overthrown and simply perish.

God will preserve His own righteous men and women. They and their house will endure that which would overthrow the house of the wicked.
