Proverbs 28:20
A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.

A faithful person is a man of truth who deals truly and justly in all his bargains and transactions with others. He is honest and upright. The blessings signified can be from both God and man. Men will utter his name with praise and God will show His approval by blessing him.

One who is anxious to become quickly rich may not be innocent. It is not about the possession of wealth nor even the acquisition of it, is evil but the eager haste of covetousness. He might not be called or known as a faithful person and in turn he might not be richly blessed.
