1. Jeremiah 17:9-10
9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
10 "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve."
Do you believe your heart is deceitful? In what ways?
They might have heard many spiritual conversations, but their life is the acid test.
2. Proverbs 12:1
Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.
Do you love discipline? How do you get disciplined? Do you want to be stupid?
3. Proverbs 16:5
The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.
What does detest mean? (Think about somebody serving you a plate of dog doo. How would you react? That's how God reacts toward you pride.
