The tomb was empty
We celebrated
But would our lives
Make God elated
Yes, we're sinners
We all fall short
Is that an excuse
That we use to distort
The Truth that is
And how we should live
What if Jesus
Had just one life to give
The tomb wasn't empty
And in there He lay
We'd all live in fear
Of Judgment Day
But alas it was
No body was found
Which means our faith
Is doctrinally sound
That being said
We have work to do
The Great Commission
Given to me and you
But I digress…
From the question I stated
Would our lives
Make God elated
The answer is "no"
If you don't repent
The very reason
Jesus was sent
Living for you
Since you left the womb
As if Jesus was lying
Dead in His tomb
…The tomb was empty…
Like life without the Son
But Jesus is risen
And He can save everyone
