Easter is coming
Go buy that new suit
Buy that new dress
With new heels to boot
Buy that new tie
And cuff links too
Brand new clothes
...But the same old you...
You attend church
Just twice a year
Christmas and Easter
So let's be clear
But in your defense
There's no need to go
Most churches exist
Just to put on a show
Who's wearing what
Who makes the most noise
Dancing in the aisles
Misleading girls and boys
How many members
Who owns private planes
Endorsing politicians
For political gains
So I understand
The facts aren't so nice
So I applaud your efforts
For even attending twice
But understand this
God won't be mocked
So on the last day
Many will be shocked
I'm not Jesus
And don't claim to be
But Bible studies
Made it easy to see
Christmas and Easter
In your best attire
Is not the relationship
God will ever desire
