Relationships
Aren’t guaranteed
Despite your efforts
And every good deed
Regardless
Some will end
Whether a spouse
Or a very close friend
Were you dating
But aren’t any longer
The connection grew weak
Instead of stronger
The engagement
Just fell apart
Leaving you crushed
And with a broken heart
The marriage
Was thrown off course
And tragically
Ended in divorce
Whatever the case
Please remember this
Relationships
Don’t always bring bliss
Not even the ones
We cherish the most
With God, Jesus
And the Holy Ghost
Why is that
It’s a simple fact
God doesn’t control
The way we act
We have free will
And make mistakes
Like the other relationships
That cause heartaches
So if they end
They will cause pain
But the love from God
Will always remain
