Pretty or handsome
That’s not up to you
Do you see yourself
The way others do
Beauty is in
The eyes of the beholder
Their assessment
Isn’t for you to shoulder
Pretty or handsome
God could care less
If there’s no repentance
Or sins to confess
Is it by the cover
That you judge a book
Don’t judge a person
Based on how they look
Pretty or handsome
Society’s label
They have no place
At God’s table
Society’s focus
Is on the outside
God looks within
For humility or pride
Pretty or handsome
Is what you see
But God looks within
For inner beauty
