Is being a Disciple
Like work to you
You have the training
But would rather not do
You give your all
To your 9 to 5
But as a Disciple
Do you thrive
You’re known at work
As a volunteer
Do you help at church
Or just steer clear
If you’re late
They’ll dock your pay
But are you on time
Any given Sunday
Always present
For works’ Zoom call
For virtual church
Are you logged in at all
A project is due
You agree to work late
If service runs long
You become irate
If all goes well
You’ll receive a raise
But are you known
For giving God the praise
When you’re at church
Are you as giving
Or are you nicer
Where you earn a living
Jobs are important
We should do ours well
But all the money in the world
Can’t save us from Hell
So do your job
To the best of your ability
But choose salvation
Over your salary
