Satan divides
The battle wages
When we choose sides
A debate ensues
Tempers flare
Win or lose
He doesn't care
Win the battle
But lose the war
Will you remember
What you're fighting for
Often not
Views get slanted
Anger...hatred
Seeds are planted
Satan marvels
Where he's seated
Smacking his lips
As things get heated
From race relations
To political views
To religious battles
From pulpits to pews
From sports teams
To laws on the books
To interactions
Between cops and crooks
Legalizing drugs
To gay rights
Just a few issues
That cause fights
At the end of the day
Division's a tool
Adding to the numbers
Under Satan's rule
