Of course is God
But if you've been blessed
To receive the nod
To join the ranks
Of protector and friend
To "ride or die"
To the very end
To always love
Unconditionally
To make a way
When others can't see
To invest time
In a fragile being
They look at you
But it's God they're seeing
To share your strengths
And weaknesses too
To encourage them
To be better than you
If you've been blessed
With a child to raise
Today's your day
But give God the praise
The Ultimate Father
Raised the ultimate Son
But is still a Father
