The man on the left
Drenched in gold
Would you approach him
Would you be so bold
His outward appearance
Was just a facade
He desperately needed
A relationship with God
The life he led
Had him annoyed
Women nor possessions
Could fill that void
That emptiness
That only God can fill
Had him searching
For the next cheap thrill
Humbled by marriage
He prayed for relief
Hoping that God
Would remove his grief
A loving neighbor
Is who God sent
So the time in prayer
Was very well spent
The shades were worn
To complete the disguise
To hide the pain
Within his eyes
So never judge
A book by its cover
The man in disguise
Is now your Brother
