...Ordinary...
Less one thing
An extraordinary dream
Consumed Dr. King
Eventually killed
For what he believed
Assassinated
So the nation grieved
An ordinary man
Did an extraordinary thing
Are you as ordinary
As Dr. Martin Luther King
Do you have a dream
For which you're willing to die
Will you act upon it
Will you even try
Will you take steps
On a daily basis
To pursue a dream
That unites the races
A lofty dream
But it's Biblically based
So he endured persecution
Like Jesus faced
An ordinary man
With a dream to pursue
He makes me want
To be "ordinary" too
